Which media file format does the N5200 support?
Solution
The N5200 is a simple NAS for storage, it supports file accessing via SMB/CIFS, FTP, NFS, AFP and HTTP from client, the capability of playing media file depends on the client but not the N5200.
The N5200 support Media Server which actual is DLNA DMS (Digital Media Server). DMS will broadcast itself on the local area network, and in case there is a DLNA Player on the local area network, which will discover the N5200 and then play media files stored in the N5200.
Please note that the support DLNA protocol device just for easier to discover each DLNA device, what kind format media file it support depend on the client not the N5200.
Additionally, the N5200 does not support multicasting.
